Thursday, May 5th - 014

Woke up at o'0600 hour excited for today's program organized by
Force Nepal and One Three My Responsibility (OTMR)
"The Largest Tree Hug"
 an official attempt for
Guinness World Record

Last Monday, we were called upon for a orientation classes.
Where i thought we were participating in the event but we actually were assigned for volunteering.
Well no worries anything for a better cause. ^_^

Rushed out, as we were called upon for check in at o'0800 hour & briefing following the time.
I reached "Rastriya Sahid Shanti Smarak Park" Jogdol, Gokarna at o'0715 hour.
Being early went to sip in warm water, shop below the park.

It was o'0745 hour.
I was expecting to meet sister of mine whom i met at the orientation program,
her name is Tripti Prajapati.
Well there she was in the gate of the park.
Happy to see her as, She was the only one i knew there.. ^__^

We were puzzled to see the chaos in the gate as nothing was well planned as said.
They Called in for check in or registration.
Registration done & waiting for further instruction while the collage students were still checking in.
We were just standing there..
Well, Tripti Di said lets take some snaps..

on the stairs

Form the up stairs
With the long stairs up to the park, we did managed to get to the spot taking long breaths; ended up in the area where the students were getting briefing about the program. Thought we would get one too. We stayed there but nothing, no plans, no briefing, it looked like the program was gonna be a mess.
We then agreed to go down where we signed in to ask the organizer what was the plan for today. we got down asked them they said the badge sticker can be collected from the place where we just came form, the entry spot.
OMG.! "sighed" and walked the 252 stairs up the park again.!

Everyone in the park were in theri own world some taking snaps, selfie, some resting in the shades & some busy in god know what.
We decided to make use of our camera buddies and started taking some shots.

Finally, some organizers told us where & what should be done..
making an two hand distance, made a line all the way inside the park.
Happy that the program was gonna start.
We talked about the spots from where we can take better snapshots.
It was o'1033 hour.

Roll no. of trees

Caught in a flight
Then suddenly plan changed and all of us were called back in the registration desk. Rushed up & no orders, no plans we were standing there again waiting what to do next. Unplanned program with children's from various schools already entering the park. It looked like a carnival. All the volunteers were down & not wanting to take further part.

Then we spotted
Dibesh Syami Dai,
a freelancer photographer & project organizer.
We went to him & asked about the program even he was disturbed by the program turning in to a carnival.
He then said to us that we are also gonna be an participant "don't you worry he said".
He handed out a participant stickers and said to peal out the volunteer one.
Ever so wanted to be a participant Tripti Di and Me had a smile in our faces.
Dibesh Dai then registered our names and we went to find a tree to hug.

Everyone the kids, the adults and we were hugging the tree.
It was a priceless moment to see the large number of people hugging trees at the same time.
It was o'1140 hour.

Their smile ah.! :)

The official record started sharp at o'1200 hour,
which started from a pressure horn & Dhimae baja and it lasted for 2 minutes.
Ended and gosh.! we just attempted the record for
the largest tree hug with the number of 2001 participants (registered).
Just eagerly waiting for the results.

Happy & Smliling, glad to be a part of the event as we always wanted.
Tripti Di, Dibesh Dai and Me sat down for refreshment and for some talks.
TBH, Dibesh dai is the coolest guy, i have ever met in my these many experiences.

The kids were heading back home and some were stopping by for some lunch as the program was officialy ended. we also, signed off to Dinesh dai and other organizers and got home.. ^___^

Even the organizing was not pretty planned the program was a success and happy that we were a part of it.
